Responsibilities
- Develop neural networks.
- Analyze neural-network efficiency and performance.
- Port and test neural networks on microprocessors and other constrained devices.
- Develop memory- and computationally efficient neural-network-based real-time audio algorithms.
- Research state-of-the-art neural networks in the audio domain.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled as a degree-seeking student and generally take no courses during the internship unless required by the school.
- Preferably enrolled in a master’s or PhD program in a programming-related STEM field; bachelor’s students may be considered with relevant professional or personal projects and/or advanced embedded-programming experience.
- Experience with at least one deep-learning framework, preferably TensorFlow.
- Understanding of common neural-network layer types and their mathematical operations.
- Programming experience in Python and C/C++, preferably including embedded programming.
- Knowledge of bit-level representations for integer and floating-point types.
- Conceptual understanding of computer architecture, memory, and caching.
- Familiarity with audio, speech, or music signals.
- Proficiency in Linux, specifically Ubuntu.
- Desire to write clean, maintainable code under version control using Git.

- Typical engineering intern pay range is USD $26.00-$47.50 per hour, depending on education, duties, requirements, and location.
