Responsibilities
- Build and operate highly scalable, resilient, and performant cloud infrastructure and services.
- Develop infrastructure platforms, tools, and automation for large and complex projects.
- Improve reliability, availability, serviceability, performance, and cost efficiency across multi-cloud infrastructure.
- Enable Snowflake services to operate globally across multiple cloud providers.
- Define the operating system and containerization layer for Snowflake services.
- Drive adoption of the platform to meet business goals.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior team members through strong code quality, documentation, and engineering practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, or equivalent qualification.
- At least 2 years of experience on a platform or cloud team supporting mission-critical services and infrastructure in a SaaS environment.
- At least 1 year of cloud computing experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, coding skills, and knowledge of software development best practices.
- Fluency in one or more of Golang, Java, Python, or C.
- Expertise in at least one of container platforms, automation, networking, operating systems, site reliability, configuration management, Pulumi, or Terraform.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to build reliable, scalable software systems.
- Effective communication, collaboration, self-management, and problem-solving skills.
