Base Salary
$200k - $290k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and scale LLM-based systems that process billions of unstructured data points daily
- Extract precise information and surface insights used by insurers for high-stakes decisions
- Own end-to-end outcomes, make architectural decisions under ambiguity, and help set the team’s technical direction
- Work on backend engineering and AI challenges with substantial individual ownership and impact
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem-solving
- Production experience with LLMs and understanding of deploying them at scale
- Experience with AWS, Lambda, EC2, serverless technologies, asynchronous workflows, and cloud environments
- Proficiency in Python or a strong background in another object-oriented language
- Experience with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL
- Ability to take ownership, drive projects with minimal oversight, communicate proactively, and iterate through experimentation
- Document pipeline and large-scale data-processing experience is a bonus
