Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Participate in all stages of the software development life cycle for cloud and on-prem services.
- Enable strong CI/CD environments with scalable automation frameworks.
- Develop test platforms to ensure high-quality and reliable services.
- Create and improve test tooling and infrastructure for scalability.
- Advocate for a Customer-First approach in all services/products.
- Own the performance, availability, and security of the services/products.
- Build microservices and APIs for a low latency, cost-efficient customer experience.
- Share best practices to enhance automation and efficiency within the team.
- Increase product observability to assist in diagnosing and fixing issues.
- Participate in production deployment rotations and on-call support.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in building services/products.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to balance business and engineering priorities.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and proactive in problem-solving.
- High emotional intelligence and ability to negotiate effectively.
- Experience in a geographically distributed work environment.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Go, or C/C++.
- Experience designing scalable services for millions of clients.
- Familiarity with automation frameworks and CI/CD environments.
- Strong background in designing distributed services with monitoring systems.
- Experience with RESTful services and industry-standard tools.
- Proficient in building software on Linux platforms.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and public cloud services.
