Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Drive the technical strategy, goals, and multi-year roadmap for Google Unified SecOps and Threat Operations.
- Elevate standards for incident management, risk analysis, architecture reviews, blameless postmortems, and sustainable on-call rotations.
- Serve as the ultimate technical decision-maker and escalation point for reliability, production health, and application security matters.
- Act as the development liaison to the Google Unified SecOps and Threat Operations SRE organization and drive consensus across engineering and platform teams.
- Guide teams in designing resilient, self-healing distributed systems by identifying failure modes in real-time streaming, batch processing, and AI/ML-driven threat operations.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions while managing project priorities and deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Eight years of experience in security engineering focused on application security, or in software development involving large-scale distributed systems, enterprise platforms, or cloud infrastructure.
- Eight years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Three years of experience in technical leadership or a tech lead role setting strategy and driving cross-team execution.
- Experience with application security vulnerabilities, secure coding practices, and mitigation techniques.
- Preferred: master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: experience with vulnerability management programs, security tooling, automation, SaaS or enterprise security products, SRE principles, disaster recovery, incident response, SLOs/SLIs, and observability frameworks.
