Base Salary
$179k - $223k/yr
Responsibilities
- Optimize, test, and enhance onboard software running Rivian’s perception models for self-driving features.
- Develop tools for software development, debugging, and testing.
- Participate in software design and code reviews and advise developers on technical issues and design decisions.
- Contribute across requirements, architecture, design, development, quality assurance, deployment, and maintenance.
- Coordinate with perception-model development and cross-functional teams to support onboard model deployment and integration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience developing production-grade software.
- Strong C++ programming skills.
- Experience developing automotive or robotics software.
- Experience with heterogeneous systems and hardware accelerators such as GPUs, ISPs, and encoders.
- Experience with hardware-accelerator libraries including CUDA, TensorRT, or OpenCL.
- Experience across the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through implementation and maintenance.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for driving cross-functional efforts.
- Motivation to take concepts from research and development through productization.
