Base Salary
$180k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the team to execute product goals and the technical roadmap.
- Develop user-facing, product-focused features in Elixir and Go backend services and the React frontend.
- Build and scale the billing and usage platform supporting all Mux products.
- Develop identity and account management product features.
- Build distributed notification capabilities, including application webhooks and alerting features.
- Own critical product infrastructure and improve the resilience and scalability of customer-facing platforms.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience.
- Experience working across multiple platforms and environments with strong engineering fundamentals.
- A track record of solving complex problems involving job scheduling, concurrency, and scaling.
- Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and React.
- Experience building REST APIs; Elixir experience is a strong plus.
- Experience with Go, Python, Ruby, Node, or other general-purpose programming languages is valued.
- Experience deploying complex applications on cloud platforms using a container orchestration platform such as Kubernetes.
- Experience working with SQL databases; ClickHouse experience is a plus.
- A computer science degree is a plus but is not required.
- Video experience is a plus but is not required.
