Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product development teams to improve the security design of industrial servo drive products and respond to security-related technical questions.
- Use security tools to evaluate the security posture of hardware and software products.
- Perform ethical hacking and penetration testing to assess product security and identify vulnerabilities.
- Keep current with testing methods, hacking methods, security threats, and vulnerabilities affecting products.
- Design and implement security test automation to support product DevOps.
- Apply security verification and validation techniques including web application testing, vulnerability scanning, fuzz testing, threat modeling, network resiliency testing, and embedded device testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering with a computer science emphasis, or a technical degree with a cybersecurity focus.
- At least 2 years of penetration testing experience.
- Experience with programming techniques and scripting languages, particularly Python.
- Understanding of security-by-design principles and fundamental security concepts.
- Preferred: master’s degree or advanced coursework in a relevant computer science, computer engineering, or cybersecurity-focused technical field.
- Preferred: C++ or C# programming, reverse engineering, IDA Pro, Burp Suite, Fuzzer, OSCP or HTB CPTS certification, AI tools for finding security threats, container and SaaS technologies, OSI and TCP/IP networking models, and wireless technologies including Wi-Fi, NFC, and Bluetooth.
