Responsibilities
- Engage UK Central Government customers to understand mission needs, business challenges, and transformation goals.
- Develop and lead differentiated, deliverable solution strategies for major public sector pursuits.
- Lead solution development from qualification through proposals, orals, contract award, and handover to delivery.
- Facilitate discovery workshops, architecture reviews, and solution design sessions.
- Assess solution feasibility, delivery risk, commercial viability, and strategic fit.
- Create solution narratives, value propositions, win themes, bid content, and architectural differentiators.
- Represent solutions in customer meetings, executive briefings, bid reviews, and orals.
- Coordinate capture, commercial, delivery, programme, and technical teams to produce coherent propositions.
- Contribute reusable solution patterns, proposition material, and thought leadership.
- Support transition from growth into delivery so commitments, risks, and design intent are understood.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with UK Central Government departments, agencies, or arm's-length bodies.
- Extensive UK experience developing successful solutions for UK Government contracts.
- Understanding of how public sector customers buy, govern, and deliver complex digital transformation programmes.
- Experience supporting competitive procurements, frameworks, bids, proposals, or capture activities.
- Current and valid UK Security Check (SC) clearance.
- Evidence of personally winning, shaping, or significantly improving strategic opportunities.
- Ability to balance customer outcomes, technical quality, delivery risk, cost, scope, differentiation, and commercial competitiveness.
- Strong workshop facilitation, stakeholder management, executive communication, writing, and presentation skills.
- Ability to orchestrate specialists across multiple technology domains and explain complex government solutions in plain business language.
- Experience shaping opportunities before formal procurement begins is desirable.
- Experience in consulting, systems integration, managed services, or complex technology delivery environments is desirable.
- Knowledge of public sector procurement frameworks, competitive bid processes, AI-enabled transformation, data-driven services, or platform modernisation is desirable.
- Azure, AWS, or TOGAF certifications are useful but not a substitute for relevant experience.
