Responsibilities
- Perform docking ground software systems engineering and develop ground capabilities for the Orion MPCV Artemis 3 spacecraft simulation.
- Design, produce, debug, and maintain simulation software using C++ and Python.
- Perform unit, functional, verification, and spacecraft testing using the established development process.
- Develop test procedures, test cases, dry runs, requirements-to-code traceability, rig environments, and special test setups.
- Develop a user interface for testers and interface the internal configuration-management tracking system with DOORS.
- Provide monthly status reporting and support activities as directed by the technical point of contact.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 9+ years of experience.
- At least 5 years of experience working on a spacecraft.
- Extensive experience with C++ and Python.
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle, real-time 6-DoF simulation, Linux development, and Perforce.
- Extensive experience debugging and applying software engineering practices in large-scale systems.
- Experience with aerospace engineering concepts including fluid mechanics and orbital dynamics.
- Desired experience with Matlab/Simulink, C++ software simulation environments, DOORS, OrionSim, Orion Test Labs, and ODN STE capabilities.
- US citizenship and ability to work onsite in Littleton, Colorado.
