Responsibilities
- Execute and evolve the solution architecture vision and strategy for the Europe Transportation Ecosystem.
- Translate complex business requirements into solution architectures for agentic solutions, communication platforms, and Control Tower capabilities.
- Perform hands-on data modeling, data mapping, schema definition, and semantic-layer work during the initial 3–6 months.
- Build, prototype, evolve, and iterate solution designs with product and project teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Develop reference architectures, patterns, guidelines, architecture artifacts, and technology-stack documentation.
- Conduct architecture reviews for projects against standards, security policies, and performance requirements.
- Present and defend designs through Architecture Review Boards and working groups.
- Define and promote architecture best practices and contribute to Communities of Practice.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities for transformation, automation, and AI.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data architecture or the IT industry.
- Working knowledge of Azure cloud architectures, enterprise integration patterns, and DevOps practices.
- Experience leading solution design for generative technologies, including effort estimation, pricing, and business-case presentations for clients.
- Deep knowledge of system, application, infrastructure, network, cloud, and security architecture.
- Knowledge of Delta Lake, database systems, and query optimization.
- Experience with Databricks and Microsoft Azure.
- Basic programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as SonarQube, GitHub, and Azure DevOps.
- Basic project management experience and experience working on large projects.
- Experience with Agile frameworks and Agile environments.
- Significant data and automation solution architecture experience focused on Generative AI and/or Agentic AI solutions is preferred.
- Hands-on expertise with semantic models and LLMs is preferred.
- Understanding of Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Agent Service, Microsoft Copilot Studio, data modeling, data integration, ETL, data governance, and data privacy is preferred.
- Knowledge of Power Platform, Model Context Protocol, and Agent-to-Agent protocols is advantageous.
- Rapid prototyping experience with generative and agentic AI solutions, consulting experience, or client-facing technical specialist experience is beneficial.
