Responsibilities
- Design, build, validate, deploy, monitor, and continuously improve machine learning models for production business use cases.
- Own the full machine learning lifecycle from initial experimentation through production operation and iteration.
- Partner with Data Scientists, Analysts, Data Engineers, and Product teams to translate insights and business questions into scalable ML systems.
- Establish ML architecture, tooling, versioning, monitoring, and development best practices as one of the first ML engineers.
- Develop reliable data pipelines, feature availability, and model deployment foundations for future scale.
- Translate ambiguous problems into structured ML solutions and make pragmatic technical trade-offs.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in machine learning, applied statistics, or data science focused on real-world production use cases.
- High proficiency in Python and experience with modern machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Experience writing clean, maintainable, production-ready code and deploying, versioning, and monitoring models.
- Understanding of SQL, data warehouses, ETL/ELT workflows, data pipelines, infrastructure, and Databricks.
- Experience using AI tools, particularly Claude, and leveraging LLM APIs for prototyping, research, and production feature development.
- Ability to translate business and analytical questions into ML problems and explain ML concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and take ownership from start to finish.
