Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Oracle Database, JavaScript, HTML, and web technologies.
- Write, analyze, and optimize complex Oracle SQL queries for application functionality, data processing, reporting, and system performance.
- Develop and maintain Java and Spring Boot backend services and REST APIs, including business logic, integrations, and Oracle Database connectivity.
- Support, troubleshoot, debug, and modernize legacy applications across application, database, API, and integration layers.
- Develop and maintain web application components and integrate with enterprise, authentication, third-party, and internal platforms.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, source-control, and CI/CD practices.
- Create technical specifications, API documentation, troubleshooting guides, and other technical documentation.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, System Analysts, QA teams, and technical stakeholders to resolve complex issues and deliver reliable solutions.
- Identify technical risks and dependencies and improve application reliability, maintainability, and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of software development experience with hands-on delivery using Java and Oracle Database.
- Strong Oracle SQL skills, including complex joins, subqueries, aggregations, and data-intensive operations.
- Solid experience developing Java applications and REST APIs with Spring Boot, including business logic, service-layer development, and Oracle Database integration.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Database, relational data models, database objects, and application-to-database integrations.
- Experience analyzing existing code, diagnosing application issues, debugging production problems, and implementing solutions across multiple application layers.
- Experience consuming and producing REST APIs, with familiarity with OAuth2, JWT, and third-party platform integrations.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle, source control, code reviews, testing, deployment, CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, and Agile delivery.
- Preferred experience with legacy application modernization, React, NextJS, modern JavaScript frameworks, Oracle APEX, PL/SQL, Auth0 or similar identity platforms, MuleSoft, Salesforce, Salesforce APIs, Lightning Web Components, and enterprise integrations.
- Experience in learning management, e-learning, enterprise training platforms, microservices architecture, API gateway patterns, or international Agile delivery teams is advantageous.
