Base Salary
$75k - $112k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, validate, test, and support embedded and real-time software for Precision Ag systems.
- Develop software using C++, Qt/QML, and related technologies in a Linux-based embedded environment.
- Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, solution implementation, product integration, defect investigation, and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with systems engineers, software architects, product managers, and cross-functional distributed teams.
- Contribute to automated testing, code reviews, continuous integration, and improvements to engineering standards and tools.
- Support software capabilities used across tractors, crop care, harvesting, and other production systems.
Requirements
- Experience developing software in C++, Python, Java, or another object-oriented programming language.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design, software engineering fundamentals, and API creation.
- Experience with inter-process communication and concurrent software development.
- Ability to analyze and debug software using diagnostic and profiling tools.
- Effective communication, collaboration, teamwork, and independent working skills.
- A degree or equivalent related work experience; relevant fields include software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or agricultural engineering.
- Preferred experience includes GenOS, service-oriented software design, Operations Center, Qt/QML, embedded Linux, Precision Agriculture, J1939 CAN communications, and MQTT.
