Responsibilities
- Write, maintain, and execute test cases for mobile and web studio games across devices, operating systems, and browsers.
- Perform functional, non-functional, regression, exploratory, risk-based, and game-specific testing, including network traffic, API responses, and log analysis.
- Report and triage defects, conduct root cause analysis, and drive timely resolution with developers and stakeholders.
- Create and maintain test plans, test reports, training materials, and other QA process documentation.
- Identify project risks and quality trade-offs and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with Scrum teams, producers, developers, QA leads, and managers to support high-quality releases.
- Mentor junior QA team members and support their technical and domain development.
- Partner with the QA Lead to improve QA processes, test coverage, and release quality.
- Support team coordination and delivery when the QA Lead is absent.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of experience in software testing, preferably with mobile, web, or gaming products.
- Strong familiarity with mobile and web platforms from a QA perspective.
- Understanding of client-server architecture, APIs, application data flow, network debugging, software testing processes, SDLC/STLC, and Agile methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with test design, test execution, defect reporting, regression testing, risk-based testing, and exploratory testing.
- Experience using QA tools such as Jira, TestRail, Charles Proxy, Fiddler, browser developer tools, or similar tools.
- Ability to create clear and comprehensive QA documentation.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Bonus: experience testing mobile games, web games, or live-service products; knowledge of player behavior, engagement mechanics, progression, rewards, and LiveOps; casino or real-money/social casino testing experience; or exposure to test automation frameworks and AI-driven testing approaches.
