Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements, workflows, and user journeys to design and maintain test scenarios, test cases, and supporting documentation.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests across applications, services, systems, and business processes.
- Use basic SQL queries to validate data consistency and maintain requirements-to-test traceability and testing evidence.
- Identify, document, triage, retest, and close defects using Jira and test management platforms such as Xray.
- Support release validation, deployments, migrations, planned release weekends, and validation of production incident fixes.
- Produce testing documentation, status reports, and defect information while collaborating with international technical and business teams.
Requirements
- Experience in software testing, including functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Experience working in an Agile delivery model, preferably Scrum.
- Knowledge of functional requirements validation, test-case creation and maintenance, defect lifecycle management, and requirements-to-test traceability.
- Basic SQL skills for data validation and consistency checks.
- Experience with Jira and exposure to Xray or equivalent test management platforms.
- Microsoft Excel and Word skills for test-case management, evidence collection, reporting, and documentation.
- Experience in regulated environments, particularly Financial Services, is valued; V-Model experience and ISTQB certification are advantageous.
- Professional English at C1 level is mandatory; French and/or Dutch are advantageous.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
- Must reside in Portugal and own a valid work permit or EU/Schengen nationality to legally work in Portugal.
- Willingness to support planned migration and release weekend activities when required.
