Base Salary

$134k - $184k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Reverse engineer complex software and firmware targets, including Windows/Linux binaries and embedded systems.
  • Develop and apply automated reverse-engineering and binary-analysis tools to characterize protocols, interfaces, and functionality.
  • Develop offensive cyber solutions, including vulnerability weaponization, exploit development, payload development, and exploit mitigation.
  • Document, demonstrate, and present research in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Analyze code and data flows, protocols, binary structures, operating-system internals, and targets without source code.
  • Develop custom emulation, disassembler, decompiler, implant, or software-patch capabilities as applicable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field plus a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • An MS or PhD with equivalent work experience may also be considered.
  • Ability to obtain an Active Top Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship as required by the U.S. Government.
  • Experience with binary analysis of software or firmware.
  • Experience with disassembly tools such as IDA Pro, Binary Ninja, or Ghidra.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including C, C++, or Python.
  • Proficiency in one or more assembly languages, including x86 or ARM.
  • Understanding of reverse-engineering fundamentals such as memory layout and calling conventions.
  • Preferred experience includes vulnerability research, exploit development, binary emulation, firmware analysis, custom emulation tools, disassembler/decompiler development, protocol analysis, and anti-reverse-engineering techniques.
  • Preferred tools and platform experience includes QEMU, AFL++, DSP architectures, and intrusion-detection or anti-malware systems.
