Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Android Automotive integrations and applications using Kotlin and Jetpack components.
- Apply Clean Architecture principles, unit testing, and code quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to plan, prioritize, and deliver features.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, code reviews, and other agile workflows.
- Perform unit, instrumentation, UI automation, and snapshot testing.
- Work hands-on with code testing and development directly on trucks.
- Optimize system integration, memory usage, application startup time, and large-scale app performance.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of Clean Architecture, MVVM, and SOLID principles.
- Expertise in Kotlin and Jetpack components.
- Understanding of Android Automotive systems, including component and application communication and integration.
- Experience with JUnit, Espresso, instrumentation testing, UI automation testing, and snapshot testing.
- Knowledge of internationalization/localization, dynamic theming, and multi-brand UX design systems.
- Strong English communication skills for meetings, reporting, planning, and collaboration with multinational teams.
- Experience with system integration, memory management, Android Profiler, LeakCanary, and startup-time optimization is a bonus.
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, Gradle optimization, and multi-flavor or multi-brand builds is a bonus.
