Responsibilities
- Design, develop, analyze, modify, test, debug, and evaluate software to meet functional requirements.
- Investigate, document, and implement software solutions for customer and business needs.
- Develop conversion, system integration, and system implementation plans.
- Gather requirements and reporting needs and recommend and implement solutions.
- Prepare and obtain approval for system and programming documentation.
- Conduct meetings, workshops, presentations, user training, and end-user support.
- Perform capacity and availability planning for computing infrastructure and risk management functions.
- Research industry practices and regulatory changes and recommend updates to information system policies and standards.
- Collaborate with customers, product owners, end users, suppliers, and team members while providing leadership and mentorship.
- Follow Laboratory safety, security, information systems, Agile, and Scrum policies and practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 8 years of experience, or additional relevant experience in lieu of the degree.
- U.S. citizenship is required per contract.
- Strong web-development and specialization experience, especially with ASP.NET and Bootstrap.
- Experience with CMS, SharePoint, or web content systems.
- Experience with UI/UX or graphic design and web interface design.
- Experience with Node.js, JavaScript, HTML, jQuery, Bootstrap, and REST APIs.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies, source code control, application development tools, database design and management, programming languages, and component integration.
- Knowledge of hardware, operating systems, system architectures, network infrastructures, client-server principles, and hardware/software integration and testing.
- Ability to partner with customers, understand end-to-end work processes, communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and define expectations with customers and suppliers.
- Agile/Scrum certification and experience are preferred.
- Familiarity with LANL Project Management Software Application Portfolio tools including P6, COBRA, CRES, and Integrify is desired.
