Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and ship high-quality backend products and features.
- Own major parts of the codebase, set timelines, and lead project deliverables.
- Develop, release, and maintain backend services and infrastructure.
- Improve engineering processes, tools, systems, codebase scalability, and team productivity.
- Collaborate with product, design, engineering, and analytics on challenging product and platform problems.
- Contribute to project estimation, planning, execution, and integrations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience as a backend-focused software engineer.
- At least 3 years of experience with TypeScript, Node.js, Prisma, PostgreSQL, and AWS, or willingness and confidence to cross-train.
- Ability to independently take projects from idea through implementation and ship quickly.
- Desire to participate deeply in product and design and build products through design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Strong collaboration, first-principles thinking, resilience, and problem-solving skills.
- Startup or scale-up experience and interviewing experience are preferred.
