Responsibilities
- Own the technical delivery, reliability, scalability, and ongoing improvement of Wabtec’s LATAM Localization applications and integrations.
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain full-stack applications, RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and related integrations.
- Partner with Product Owners and business stakeholders to evaluate requirements, provide technical recommendations, estimate development efforts, and support roadmap planning.
- Lead technical discussions and architecture reviews while guiding solutions toward enterprise standards and business needs.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and escalation support for critical production incidents and application issues.
- Manage and support cloud solutions, infrastructure automation, monitoring, configuration management, and CI/CD processes.
- Identify opportunities for modernization, automation, simplification, and technical debt reduction.
- Mentor team members and contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, code reviews, automated testing, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in software development and application support, including strong experience with Node.js, Angular, TypeScript/JavaScript, and SQL Server.
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
- Experience developing responsive web applications with modern UI technologies and CSS frameworks.
- Knowledge of relational database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience implementing automated testing with tools such as Jest or Vitest.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and integrations and infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Experience with configuration management and orchestration tools, preferably Chef.
- Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, production environments, and critical application issue resolution.
- Experience with Datadog monitoring and application observability tools.
- Working knowledge of software security standards, vulnerability management, and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Manufacturing or industrial experience is preferred; familiarity with Oracle ERP, Epicor, or SAP is also preferred.
- Previous rail industry experience is a plus.
- Fluent English and availability to travel approximately 10% to local and global sites.
