Responsibilities

  • Shape verification strategies for complex software features, releases, and product areas.
  • Design and implement robust automated tests and scalable verification frameworks.
  • Challenge requirements to ensure they are clear, testable, and aligned with customer needs.
  • Investigate complex defects, system behaviors, quality risks, and system failures.
  • Partner with Software Engineers, Product Owners, DevOps, Quality, and Technical Leaders.
  • Influence release-readiness decisions and product risk management through verification evidence.
  • Create formal verification reports and review test-code changes from developers.
  • Mentor and coach engineers, review verification approaches, promote best practices, and raise team capability.
  • Drive improvements to test automation, CI/CD integration, verification tooling, and engineering practices.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in software verification and quality engineering.
  • Strong experience with test automation and automated framework development.
  • Experience with C++ and/or C# and the ability to understand production software.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
  • Experience designing and executing complex software verification activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially for investigating defects and system failures.
  • Experience working with CI/CD environments and modern software-development practices.
  • Ability to guide technical discussions and influence outcomes across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Master’s or PhD degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred experience with medical-device software, embedded or connected-device products, hardware-software integration testing, hardware-in-the-loop testing, test harnesses, simulation environments, mock frameworks, or verification-tooling architecture.
