Responsibilities
- Develop and customize Bluetooth protocol stack functionality for embedded firmware.
- Debug Bluetooth interoperability issues and real-world customer problems using protocol logs, traces, and over-the-air behavior analysis.
- Apply RTOS concepts, concurrency, interrupt handling, memory management, and power optimization to real-time systems.
- Perform system-level debugging and root-cause analysis.
- Work across teams to drive closure on complex technical issues.
- Support customers or productized SDKs and guide junior engineers when needed.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of strong embedded firmware development experience.
- Excellent proficiency in C/C++ for real-time, resource-constrained systems.
- Solid understanding of Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth Low Energy architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Bluetooth protocol stack development or customization.
- Strong knowledge of RTOS concepts, concurrency, interrupts, memory management, and power optimization.
- Experience with Silicon Labs Bluetooth SDK (GSDK), Simplicity Studio, and EFR32 platforms is highly preferred.
- Experience with Bluetooth Audio, LE Audio, or Bluetooth Mesh is preferred.
- Familiarity with Bluetooth SIG specifications and qualification processes is preferred.
- Multi-protocol experience with Bluetooth plus 802.15.4, Thread, or Zigbee is a plus.
- Strong technical ownership, communication, cross-team collaboration, and mentoring abilities.
