Responsibilities
- Assist with the deployment and configuration of security tools.
- Support infrastructure security efforts such as architecture reviews and threat modeling.
- Help integrate security tooling across cloud environments.
- Collaborate with the security engineering team to automate security processes.
- Participate in security assessments and contribute to vulnerability management activities.
- Research emerging cybersecurity technologies and trends.
- Document security processes, findings, and tool configurations.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Masters degree program in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs).
- Foundational knowledge of operating systems (Linux and/or Windows).
- Familiarity with at least one scripting or programming language (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
- Understanding of core security concepts including authentication, encryption, and access control.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
