Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable integration architectures connecting Legion with HR, POS, payroll, and other enterprise systems.
- Build and test integrations using Workato and develop secure, efficient REST APIs within Legion’s API-driven ecosystem.
- Use modern cloud platforms to deliver high-performance, reliable, and enterprise-grade integration solutions.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers on design, code reviews, development practices, and technical documentation.
- Identify, report, and prioritize product bugs and enhancements while supporting Legion product expertise and adoption.
- Work with core engineering and production engineering teams to improve backend reliability and troubleshoot production issues.
- Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code and contribute throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Mentor junior engineers, share technical expertise, and contribute to scalable and sustainable integration practices.
- Participate in an overnight on-call rotation and provide support outside normal business hours when required.
Requirements
- 7+ years of business, information, solution, or technical architecture experience.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant STEM field such as Information Systems, Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 3+ years of experience with event-driven architecture and microservices.
- Deep technical expertise with integration technologies and protocols including HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SFTP, SOAP, REST, JMS, and JDBC.
- Experience with Linux/Unix environments, Core Java, relational databases, SQL, and JDBC.
- 2+ years of experience with AWS technologies including AWS CDK, CloudFormation, S3, ECS, EKS, and EC2.
- Experience with test-driven development, Java/RESTful web services, CI/CD processes, and related tools.
- Exposure to software development tools including Jira, GitHub, and Jenkins.
- Proven problem-solving and root-cause analysis experience, along with strong English communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with workforce management integrations and scalable integration platforms such as Workato, SAP BTP Integration Suite, Dell Boomi, Jitterbit, and SnapLogic.
- Preferred technical consulting experience, Docker or other isolation technologies, and end-to-end integrations with applications such as Workday and SAP.
