Responsibilities
- Act as a technical subject matter expert for Kubernetes, container orchestration, managed cloud platforms, and cloud-native observability.
- Lead technical discovery and proof-of-concept engagements for cloud-native and digital-transformation customers.
- Build cloud-native ROI models and support Sales in positioning Dynatrace against specialized cloud-native tools.
- Consult with platform teams on CI/CD, GitOps, observability-as-code, SLOs, error budgets, and SRE maturity.
- Conduct cloud-native maturity workshops covering automated scaling, pod-level optimization, and cost-aware infrastructure management.
- Advocate for OpenTelemetry and explain Dynatrace’s code-level visibility and AI-driven root cause analysis.
- Stay current with CNCF technologies including service meshes, serverless platforms, and eBPF.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a technical pre-sales, DevOps, or SRE role, including at least 3 years focused on Kubernetes and containerized workloads.
- Deep understanding of container runtimes, ingress controllers, service discovery, service mesh architectures, and sidecar patterns.
- Expert-level knowledge of at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP, including managed Kubernetes and serverless offerings.
- Proficiency with Terraform, Helm, and YAML.
- Ability to read and write Go, Java, or Node.js for microservices troubleshooting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to explain the business impact of MTTR and deployment frequency to executive stakeholders.
- CKA or CKAD certification is preferred.
- Experience with eBPF-based monitoring tools, FinOps principles, CNCF participation, or open-source projects is preferred.
