Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain features in Android applications and shared libraries.
- Collaborate with Mobile Scrum teams and other groups to meet sprint goals and deliver the right product.
- Set a high technical bar through code reviews and design reviews.
- Investigate solutions to challenging problems and drive engineering efforts through completion.
- Integrate applications with Android platform SDKs for photos, videos, audio, file management, networking, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and third-party hardware such as Axon body-worn cameras.
- Create and manage CI/CD automation and integration.
- Apply modern Android architecture components and unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of experience shipping Android applications.
- Strong competency in Kotlin and Java.
- A strong track record of delivering high-quality code on schedule.
- Experience with one or more of Jetpack Compose, Room, CameraX, ExoPlayer, and Android 15.
- Experience with modern architectures such as MVVM and MVI, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, networking, camera, photo and video, audio, file management, and third-party hardware integrations.
- Strong communication, planning, estimation, collaboration, problem-solving, and ambiguity-resolution skills.
