Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test suites across UI, API, and backend layers.
- Execute automation-first testing and optimize regression suites for improved coverage, reliability, and release confidence.
- Own and evolve test framework architecture using UI automation and API/backend testing approaches.
- Implement error reporting, failure analysis, and test result assurance mechanisms.
- Investigate test failures, report defects, and support defect resolution and continuous quality improvement.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and quality engineers to identify risks and validate requirements.
- Use AI to improve test design, execution, code generation, coverage, maintenance, failure analysis, categorization, and root cause analysis.
- Stay current with AI technologies and contribute to AI-first quality engineering practices.
Requirements
- B.E., B.Tech., or MCA degree in computer science, engineering, or a related subject area.
- At least 4 years of software quality assurance experience in a financial services firm, including manual test writing, test automation development, and test execution.
- Experience with positive and negative testing, UI testing, test plans, test strategies, RTM, and test estimation.
- Solid understanding of at least one programming language, such as TypeScript, Java, C#, or Go.
- Experience with UI automation frameworks such as Playwright or Selenium.
- Exposure to nonfunctional testing, including performance, security, or chaos testing, is favorable.
