Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction of major Unity client systems across gameplay, UI, live events, progression, offers, social features, and platform services.
- Define and evolve architecture for a large Unity/C# codebase with emphasis on modularity, testability, performance, and maintainability.
- Guide data-driven and live-ops systems, including event configuration, feature flags, localization, and content delivered through structured data pipelines such as FlatBuffers.
- Partner with design, product, QA, analytics, economy, backend, and live-ops stakeholders to align client architecture with operational needs.
- Improve engineering effectiveness through tooling, CI and build processes, code reviews, debugging practices, and technical documentation.
- Lead incident analysis and production issue resolution across mobile client systems, platform integrations, monetization flows, and event features.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and influence cross-team technical decisions and engineering quality standards.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience with large production game clients or similarly complex interactive applications.
- Deep expertise in C# and object-oriented software design, with strong experience using Unity in large-scale production environments.
- Experience designing scalable client architecture for gameplay, UI, event, or data-driven systems, including mobile iOS and Android development considerations.
- Knowledge of client-side data pipelines, remote configuration, serialization, schema-driven systems, and FlatBuffers.
- Experience with build automation, CI/CD workflows, mobile game release pipelines, debugging, profiling, testing strategy, and quality standards.
- Deep familiarity with live-service game development, including progression, gacha/offers, PvP or event systems, social features, analytics, and monetization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong technical leadership, communication, stakeholder alignment, mentorship, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
