Responsibilities
- Own SAP SD Order Management module design, configuration approach, estimates, sequencing, and deliverable approval.
- Configure sales document types, item and schedule line categories, copy control, incompletion procedures, order reasons, availability checks, delivery scheduling, and related order-to-cash functionality.
- Support EDI, IDoc, Fiori, and API-based order intake, including error monitoring, reprocessing, and high-volume exception resolution.
- Manage dependencies with ATP, Inventory, EWM, Pricing, Billing, and Finance-related credit management processes.
- Deliver the module workstream against milestones, quality gates, test evidence, defect-containment expectations, and cutover requirements.
- Diagnose configuration, data, and integration issues affecting order intake, delivery creation, confirmation, and downstream commitments.
- Build reusable AI prompts and accelerators for exception triage, IDoc analysis, and scenario test generation, and define validation standards for team use.
- Use SAP Joule for Consultants, identify Joule agent use cases, and specify business-process context for AI capabilities.
- Lead, allocate work to, review, and mentor a small delivery team.
- Lead business workshops, manage stakeholder relationships, present options and risks, and defend scope when changes threaten delivery dates.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of experience on SAP Sales and Distribution or the primary skill.
- 15 years of full-time education.
- Deep hands-on SAP SD Order Management configuration experience in SAP S/4HANA or ECC, including sales documents, document flow, delivery scheduling, route and shipping point determination, and availability checks.
- Experience with IDoc or API-based order intake, monitoring, error handling, and high-volume reprocessing.
- Ability to resolve order exceptions and diagnose pricing discrepancies using condition-technique knowledge.
- Current and continuous hands-on configuration experience, with no sustained break from build activity in the last 18 months.
- Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of an SAP module workstream, including estimation, milestones, defect management, integration testing, and cutover.
- Leadership experience with a small delivery team and direct ownership of business stakeholder relationships and contested scope discussions.
- Demonstrated use and adoption of AI-assisted delivery methods, reusable accelerators, automation, or codified playbooks, with verification of generated output.
- Working knowledge of SAP Joule for Consultants and the ability to specify Joule agent use cases; working proficiency is expected within 90 days if prior exposure is absent.
- Workstream ownership across at least two full-lifecycle SAP implementations or large rollouts.
- Preferred experience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition order-management scope items, Fiori order-management apps, situation handling, SAP Integration Suite, CPI, and advanced order-fulfillment and allocation scenarios.
