Responsibilities
- Develop organization-wide architectures and methodologies for software systems across multiple platforms and organizations.
- Evaluate new technologies, innovations, and outsourced development partner relationships and plan their integration into the architecture.
- Review software designs and project activities for compliance with development standards and provide feedback to improve quality and mitigate risk.
- Influence executive leadership, development partners, and industry standards groups on software architecture and technology decisions.
- Provide technical leadership for significant projects and cross-functional initiatives.
- Mentor less-experienced staff and contribute to knowledge sharing.
- Evaluate software testing processes and methodologies, including test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Typically 15+ years of experience.
- Experience designing and developing software systems design tools and languages.
- Experience with the overall architecture of software systems for products and solutions.
- Experience designing and integrating software systems running on multiple platform types.
- History of innovation with multiple patents or deployed solutions in software design.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including mastery of English and the local language.
- Ability to communicate product architectures and design proposals and negotiate options at business-unit and executive levels.
