Responsibilities
- Drive breakthrough applied research in self-improving systems, agentic memory, and personalized autonomous multi-agent systems.
- Design intelligent architectures that continuously learn, retain and reason over persistent memory, and coordinate across agents.
- Translate frontier AI research into scalable Siri and Apple product experiences.
- Integrate text, vision, and audio using cross-modal attention in multimodal foundation models.
- Design AI agents for complex reasoning under on-device compute constraints.
- Influence high-level architecture decisions and advocate for research directions with product leadership.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience delivering zero-to-one LLM productization.
- Deep expertise in transformer-based LLMs and multimodal foundation models.
- Hands-on mastery of the model lifecycle, including pre-training, fine-tuning, performance optimization, and safety alignment.
- Expertise designing AI agents for complex reasoning and on-device computing constraints.
- Ability to influence high-level architecture decisions and advocate for novel research directions to product leadership.
