Responsibilities
- Build simulation environments for AI agents to train on SRE tasks.
- Collaborate with research scientists to create realistic SRE scenarios.
- Own the architecture and implementation of large subsystems.
- Design and scale backend services and APIs for high-concurrency environments.
- Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance across the system.
- Quickly iterate on initial versions and refine based on performance.
- Focus on realism in production failure scenarios.
- Utilize AI tools to enhance development processes.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience at a Staff or equivalent technical leadership level.
- Strong backend engineering skills with experience in scalable services.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially AWS, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with databases and messaging systems for cloud-native applications.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and quick iteration.
- Hands-on experience with technical issues and debugging.
- Experience with AI tools and interest in LLM-powered systems.
- Bonus: prior SRE, on-call, or incident response experience.
