Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and create engineering specifications for software applications and programs across Mainframe and Open Systems environments.
- Develop, implement, review, and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant, efficient, and maintainable software.
- Bridge Mainframe and open system architectures and support migration of workloads to open architectures.
- Implement AI and automation strategies throughout the software development life cycle.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, story creation, estimation, task tracking, and production progress reporting.
- Monitor application functionality, scalability, performance, technical progress, and blockers.
- Mentor associate software engineers in Mainframe, open systems, AI, automation, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field is required; a master's degree is preferred.
- At least three years of experience designing and analyzing algorithms, data structures, and design patterns for scalable, highly available systems.
- At least three years of experience with a modern programming language and at least two of React, Angular v4+, NodeJS, NoSQL databases, HTML5, CSS, Google Cloud Platform, or Amazon Web Services.
- At least three years of experience with web services technologies such as REST, HTTPS, and JSON.
- Hands-on professional experience in both legacy Mainframe environments and modern Open Systems, including concurrent experience across both programming paradigms.
- Five years of experience with general-purpose programming languages, system architecture and technical feasibility trade-offs, healthcare technology systems, translating designs and user stories into applications, and producing fault-tolerant code is preferred.
- Knowledge of SQL, relational and non-relational databases, data modeling, version control, automated testing, monitoring, AI/ML concepts, and software engineering life-cycle practices.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology and willingness to mentor junior engineers.
- US citizenship is required due to contractual and access requirements.
- Preferred qualifications include familiarity with open systems technologies, healthcare IT regulations and trends, claims processing platforms, and Agile certifications such as CSM or CSPO.
