Base Salary
$145k - $181k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop high-performing real-time perception algorithms for object detection, segmentation, and pose estimation using camera, lidar, radar, and other sensor data.
- Design, train, optimize, deploy, and maintain AI/ML models for robotic perception in challenging environments.
- Improve machine learning pipelines and tools supporting experimentation, continuous integration and delivery, validation, and field monitoring.
- Integrate perception systems with robotic platforms for autonomous manipulation, navigation, and human-robot interaction.
- Define perception software architecture, technical design criteria, hardware/software architecture, and the technical roadmap.
- Collaborate with robotics, hardware, software, controls, product, and cross-functional AES teams to integrate perception systems.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and stay current with computer vision, machine learning, and robotics advances.
Requirements
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in computer vision, machine learning, and/or robotics.
- Strong theoretical foundation in computer vision, image processing, and machine learning algorithms.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and ROS2.
- Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch, real-time systems, embedded platforms, robotics platforms, and sensor systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams, communicate effectively, make informed technical decisions, and operate in a fast-paced environment.
- Entrepreneurial, results-oriented approach with strong attention to quality and detail; technical understanding of automation, robotics, computer vision, machine learning, or artificial intelligence is a plus.
