Responsibilities
- Own manual testing and automation across Gen’s mobile application portfolio.
- Design test cases from requirements and identify requirement gaps proactively.
- Plan and execute functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and edge-case testing.
- Develop and maintain mobile test automation using frameworks such as Appium, Espresso, and XCUITest.
- Manage defects in Jira and BrowserStack, groom the backlog, and drive issues to closure.
- Test Android and iOS applications, including native and React Native apps, across devices, form factors, OS versions, app lifecycles, offline/sync scenarios, and performance conditions.
- Drive release timelines and coordinate testing and release activities across product, engineering, design, and DevOps teams.
- Use AI tools to accelerate test design, automation, debugging, documentation, and release coordination.
- Establish quality metrics, improve testing practices, and help shape team quality culture.
Requirements
- Approximately 10+ years of SQA experience with senior/principal-level scope and impact.
- Hands-on experience with manual SQA fundamentals, test case design, test planning, defect identification, and reporting.
- Experience testing Android and iOS applications, including native and React Native apps.
- Hands-on experience with Appium, Espresso, and XCUITest or comparable mobile automation frameworks.
- Prior coding experience in Java, Kotlin, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Swift, or strong aptitude and willingness to learn automation and scripting.
- Experience coordinating projects, working across teams, and managing release timelines.
- Exposure to App Store Connect and Google Play Console release processes.
- Awareness of mobile security testing concepts.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication, ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous-learning skills.
- Experience delivering high-quality consumer-facing software.
