Base Salary
$165k - $227k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for advanced software systems supporting aerospace applications.
- Lead software engineering at the project level and lead staff software engineers in project execution.
- Own software design and architecture for assigned projects.
- Estimate software tasks and drive software performance and optimization.
- Mentor engineering teams and support innovation.
- Interface with customers using strong technical and communication skills.
- Develop, code, and test software in a multidisciplinary environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another related discipline.
- Typically 14 or more years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of software engineering principles and practices.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with C/C++ and Linux as both a runtime environment and programming environment.
- Experience with embedded systems.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. security clearance.
- Preferred: project-level leadership of software engineering teams.
- Preferred: bare-metal programming with microcontrollers and embedded buses such as I2C and SPI.
- Preferred: experience with Xilinx/AMD SoCs, networking and socket-based communications, containerization, DevSecOps principles, Bash and Python scripting, Yocto, virtual machines, databases such as Mongo, and mobile or Windows desktop applications.
- Preferred: familiarity with Agile software development, information assurance, data encryption, and using AI tools in the development process.
