Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the multi-brand Android Automotive OS client for the Group App Store.
- Design and deliver features through implementation, integration, and release.
- Adapt the application to different vehicle brands, ECUs, and hardware platforms.
- Integrate backend services and ensure robust communication between vehicle and backend systems.
- Analyze and resolve software issues on automotive hardware and continuously improve the codebase.
- Ensure software quality through testing, code reviews, and continuous integration and delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a reliable in-vehicle App Store experience.
Requirements
- Require 5+ years of professional Android development experience with strong Kotlin and Java expertise.
- Require deep knowledge of Android Automotive OS, AOSP, and modern Android architectures such as MVVM and MVI.
- Require expert proficiency with Coroutines, RxJava, Jetpack Compose, XML, REST APIs, Retrofit, OkHttp, and Hilt/Dagger.
- Require experience with automotive app lifecycles, OTA and store update mechanisms, and debugging on automotive hardware.
- Require experience working with complex existing codebases and a clean-code, pragmatic engineering mindset.
- Require experience with GitHub-based CI/CD and Agile development environments.
- Require strong communication and teamwork skills in an international environment.
- Fluent English is required; German is a plus.
