Responsibilities
- Build software applications and deliver enhancements and projects supporting fund accounting and trade processing technology.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop software solutions.
- Drive system upgrades and features that improve resiliency, capacity, automation, controls, and integrations with internal and external vendors and services.
- Drive architecture for core platforms and modernize systems using AI tools.
- Work with DevOps teams to manage operational issues and apply DevOps practices.
- Transition selected applications to cloud platforms to improve stability, scalability, and performance.
- Collaborate with other technology teams on cross-departmental initiatives and continuously improve platforms using modern technologies.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software development experience focused on Java-based technologies.
- Knowledge of financial products including fixed income, credit, equities, derivatives, and related accounting, settlement, and affirmation processing.
- Strong SQL development experience and experience building large-scale data warehouses.
- Experience with messaging architectures, high-volume streaming, and/or transaction processing systems.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful services.
- Familiarity with Redis and MongoDB databases.
- Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks.
- Experience building microservices, Kubernetes-based platforms, and AWS solutions.
- Strong Java experience.
- Experience designing and building interactive web interfaces using Angular or React.
- Experience with industry-known prime broker reconciliation software.
- Strong verbal communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, plus understanding of agile methodologies and commitment to high ethical standards.
