Base Salary
$145k - $183k/yr
Responsibilities
- Document and measure existing triage and detective workflows to identify automation and process-improvement opportunities.
- Prioritize improvements based on cost, benefit, impact, and feasibility.
- Integrate Detective Engineer scripts and tools into scalable, productized workflows.
- Build automation pipelines, triage bots, behavioral classifiers, and workflow tooling.
- Validate automation outputs, including classification accuracy, reliability, and suggested root causes.
- Document automations, including their functionality, operation, usage, limitations, and expected outputs.
- Measure and report on triage quality and throughput.
- Collaborate with development, ML, AI, triage, detective, and senior stakeholder teams to shape the automation roadmap.
- Travel domestically and internationally, including to the London office.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience working with complex systems, ideally in robotics or autonomous vehicles.
- Strong scripting and analytical skills using tools such as Python, SQL, and Bash/Shell.
- Hands-on experience operating in a remote Linux environment.
- Experience building or maintaining data pipelines or notebooks, such as Databricks or Jupyter.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical problems to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Expertise with issue-tracking and configuration-management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, or GitLab.
- Ability to analyze ambiguous workflows, identify valuable automation opportunities, and scope practical solutions.
- Experience with web development languages such as HTML, CSS, React, or Java is desirable.
- Practical experience with machine learning or classification models such as PyTorch is desirable.
- Experience with cloud services, ideally Microsoft Azure, is desirable.
- Experience taking research ideas into production and promoting statistical rigor and experimental best practices is desirable.
- Experience in a fast-moving technology company or startup is desirable.
