Base Salary
$80k - $110k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and improve lightweight AI-powered tools and applications for construction and business operations.
- Partner with field teams, operations, and business stakeholders to identify manual or repetitive processes and translate them into AI-driven solutions.
- Develop prompt engineering strategies and prototype AI workflows using LLM APIs, automation platforms, and custom scripts.
- Build chatbots, internal assistants, workflow automations, dashboards, interfaces, and simple applications for non-technical users.
- Integrate AI tools with internal and third-party systems through APIs.
- Monitor and improve AI performance, including accuracy, reliability, data integrity, and user adoption.
- Implement guardrails and validation processes to mitigate hallucinations and support responsible AI usage.
- Document workflows and tools, stay current on emerging AI technologies, and contribute to longer-term AI architecture and strategy.
- Demo solutions, gather feedback, and collaborate with IT, data, and business teams to iterate on solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of exposure to data-related work, including analytics, business intelligence, data entry systems, reporting, or support for data-driven teams.
- At least 1 year of active, hands-on experience with AI tools, platforms, or APIs in a professional or personal capacity.
- Working experience with Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and/or Google Gemini.
- Solid prompt engineering skills and the ability to structure prompts, iterate, and produce reliable outputs.
- Experience building AI-powered tools or lightweight applications using LLM APIs such as the Claude API or OpenAI API is preferred.
- Exposure to Make, n8n, Zapier, or Microsoft Power Automate is preferred.
- Familiarity with no-code and low-code AI tools and the judgment to choose between them and custom code is preferred.
- An AI project portfolio demonstrating initiative and results is strongly preferred.
- Candidates must have unrestricted work authorization.
