Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and release robust, scalable, user-centric iOS applications.
- Own complex mobile features from concept through production while ensuring performance, reliability, maintainability, and security.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and cross-functional partners on end-to-end customer experiences.
- Contribute to vehicle connectivity, mapping and navigation, EV charging, vehicle purchasing, and other digital product features.
- Drive technical excellence through code reviews, architecture discussions, and engineering best practices.
- Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and regression testing strategies.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and improve application performance and developer productivity.
- Mentor and support junior engineers through technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
- Evaluate emerging iOS technologies, frameworks, tools, patterns, and approaches.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least five years of hands-on software engineering experience shipping customer-facing iOS applications.
- Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI.
- Understanding of mobile platform architecture, UI/UX design principles and frameworks, GraphQL, mobile security, and performance optimization.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git, mobile application CI/CD pipelines, and mobile release processes.
- Experience operating in startup settings, launching 0-to-1 products, and progressing them to highly customized applications.
- Preferred experience building systems in the automotive industry or working with IoT devices.
- Preferred experience with mobile app testing, experimentation frameworks, and automation frameworks.
- Preferred experience working with large-scale cloud systems through a provider such as AWS.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, prioritization, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
