Responsibilities
- Monitor security events and perform technical alert analysis.
- Lead information security incidents and insider investigations from response strategy through closure.
- Act as Incident Commander and provide updates to technical, executive, legal, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct digital forensic investigations and deliver clear security guidance.
- Build and maintain scripts, automated workflows, runbooks, integrations, and security operations capabilities.
- Mentor and train security operations engineers on data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Participate in the EMEA on-call rotation, including weekends and work outside standard business hours when required.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of security incident response experience.
- Ability to communicate investigative findings and response strategies to technical staff, executive leadership, and legal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Python and ability to build scripts or tools for investigation processes.
- Practical experience leading security incident response, monitoring and triaging alerts, and coordinating across teams.
- Experience with analysis and forensic techniques on macOS, Windows, and Linux.
- Experience using SIEM tools for log reviews.
- Experience with cloud architecture, cloud security, AWS, GCP, and cloud-based services.
- At least 2 years of insider-threat initiatives or employee investigations experience is preferred.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or relevant industry experience.
- GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) or similar certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, and FedRAMP is preferred.
