Responsibilities
- Develop software features for 3GPP NR and O-RAN standards and protocols in the 5G management and control plane.
- Build infrastructure and test cases supporting automated testing of new 5G software features.
- Develop and debug web-based tools, log analysis tools, debug tools, software management tools, and other developer-support software.
- Write and execute unit, integration, and system-level tests.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple sites and product programs.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and other agile development activities.
- Support continuous improvement of development workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and code quality.
Requirements
- Be currently enrolled as a student in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar discipline.
- Have a GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or higher.
- Have knowledge of C/C++, Java, and Python.
- Have a good understanding of the Linux/Unix environment.
- Have excellent English communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of signal processing, communication theory, software design methodology, IP networking, Netconf, and YANG data modeling is an asset.
- Knowledge of cloud-native principles, DevOps, microservices, Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm is a plus.
- Interest in 5G, Cloud RAN, distributed systems, or telecom software is desirable.
