Responsibilities
- Design and implement architectural strategies for large language models, including neural network configurations and parameter optimization.
- Develop scalable AI/ML algorithms, computational systems, data pipelines, and production model infrastructure.
- Customize and apply deep learning, generative AI, and large language models for enterprise use cases.
- Deploy, monitor, maintain, and optimize models and AI/ML software in production and cloud environments.
- Work with large-scale unstructured datasets and implement data storage, retrieval, preprocessing, monitoring, alerting, auditing, and related operational capabilities.
- Research and develop AI, high-performance computing, algorithmic, modeling, and simulation solutions.
- Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to integrate language models into broader systems and workflows.
- Lead team decisions, provide solutions across multiple teams, facilitate knowledge sharing, mentor colleagues, and support junior team members.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of experience is required, including experience with Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required; a master's or PhD in a related field is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience as a machine learning engineer or scientist deploying models in production at scale.
- At least 5 years of experience applying computer science foundations, computer system architecture, system engineering, and programming.
- At least 3 years of experience with distributed computing systems and architectures, including big data, high-performance computing, scientific computing, grid or cloud computing, or distributed networks.
- At least 2 years of experience building and deploying AI/ML software to a cloud environment.
- Proficiency in Python and Python-based AI/ML frameworks, with familiarity with TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Experience with Python, C++, Java, R, SQL, language model APIs, and optimizing language model usage for applications.
- Experience designing and optimizing neural network architectures for natural language processing and handling large-scale unstructured datasets.
- Strong client-facing, written and verbal communication, cross-functional collaboration, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.
