Responsibilities
- Improve services across their full lifecycle from inception and design through deployment, operation, and refinement.
- Provide system design consulting, develop software platforms and frameworks, conduct capacity planning, and support launch reviews.
- Measure and monitor service availability, latency, and overall system health after launch.
- Scale systems sustainably through automation and drive changes that improve reliability and development velocity.
- Practice sustainable incident response and conduct blameless postmortems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- 3 years of experience leading projects.
- 3 years of experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting distributed systems.
- Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
Benefits
- Canada base salary of $216000 - $221000 CAD, plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
