Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the engineering squad responsible for Spotify’s delegated authorization and session management platforms.
- Design, build, and evolve critical infrastructure using shared C++ libraries and native Swift on iOS.
- Develop secure, reliable, and performant authorization flows covering token issuance, refresh, revocation, and session lifecycle management.
- Integrate with Keymaster for OAuth token issuance, client registration, and token revocation.
- Improve the secure on-device storage and management of credentials and access tokens while balancing reliability and performance.
- Evolve Spotify’s OAuth 2.0 authorization frameworks and implementations for new platforms and product experiences.
- Drive technical improvements, share knowledge, and help shape the long-term direction of authorization and session management.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in C++ and experience building native iOS applications in Swift, or willingness to develop Swift expertise while applying C++ skills.
- Experience designing, building, or maintaining security-sensitive systems involving authorization, authentication, token management, credential storage, or related platforms.
- Solid understanding of software architecture, secure system design, and authorization protocols such as OAuth 2.0.
- Experience with shared cross-platform codebases and the interaction between native platform layers and common C++ libraries.
- Systems-thinking approach, attention to detail, clear communication, and ability to collaborate across teams and disciplines.
- Experience working on large-scale distributed systems is valued.
