Base Salary

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary on-site technical liaison between GM and Bose engineering teams for software integration, calibration, diagnostics, and implementation.
  • Support bench and vehicle integration through functional checks, network and HMI diagnostics, performance verification, and maintenance of approved software, calibration, and BIN-file configurations.
  • Reproduce bench, vehicle, production, and field issues; capture logs, traces, network data, and diagnostics; isolate likely failure domains; and verify local fixes.
  • Partner with GM and Bose teams on root-cause analysis, corrective actions, regression support, and additional testing recommendations.
  • Maintain Jira, requirements, software, calibration, release, configuration, risk, dependency, and change-control records.
  • Coordinate software and calibration deliveries into GM systems and support applicable VESCOM calibration releases.
  • Participate in requirements, design, FMEA, and program reviews and provide status, risks, dependencies, and action follow-up.
  • Provide on-site integration, proving-ground, build, plant, early-production, and field support as needed.

Requirements

  • At least five years of relevant experience in automotive embedded software, system integration, ECU development, or supplier design and development.
  • Hands-on experience with in-vehicle and bench integration, issue reproduction, log and trace analysis, root-cause investigation, and fix verification.
  • Experience with software and calibration flashing, configuration management, release workflows, Jira, requirement-management tools, change management, and ASPICE or Agile engineering processes.
  • Strong customer-facing and cross-functional communication skills, independent on-site work capability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • A valid driver’s license and ability to obtain GM proving-ground credentials, including MPG Level 2 training.
  • Preferred qualifications include resident engineering or OEM-site experience, automotive audio, active sound or Noise Management experience, basic vehicle electrical troubleshooting, GM calibration and release familiarity, and a master’s degree.
