Responsibilities
- Support Sales Executives in understanding client business, technical needs, requirements, and desired future states.
- Deliver technical presentations, targeted product demonstrations, evaluations, proofs of concept, and RFP/RFI responses.
- Lead technical sales activities, discovery, customer relationships, complex deals, and special projects.
- Own product implementation in client environments and troubleshoot customer and prospect issues in partnership with Technical Support.
- Provide customer and market feedback to Engineering, Product, Marketing, and executive teams to influence the product roadmap and identify opportunities.
- Develop and maintain deep knowledge of CData’s product portfolio, competitive landscape, and emerging trends.
- Mentor Solutions Engineering team members and potentially provide HR or day-to-day workflow leadership.
- Participate in Sales Enablement initiatives and share knowledge across the company.
- Travel approximately 10%.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, such as a BA, BS, or BE, or equivalent experience.
- At least 4 years of Solutions Engineering experience or equivalent experience.
- Advanced ability to read and write code in at least one programming language; Java or C# is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of database systems and SQL.
- Experience delivering technical presentations to senior-level client executives.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
