Responsibilities
- Design and architect major control-plane features for Storage products.
- Implement, unit test, debug, and verify production systems and features.
- Improve product performance, reliability, availability, and serviceability.
- Develop secure, robust, reliable, and durable StorageGRID manageability capabilities.
- Mentor, influence, and collaborate with peer and junior engineers.
- Support interdependent development and testing activities.
- Partner with Product Management, Customer Support, QA, and cross-site engineering teams.
- Apply AI-native software development practices and metrics-driven delivery.
- Deliver complex technical projects within a collaborative engineering environment and tight deadlines.
Requirements
- C++ development experience is required.
- Experience with object-oriented design, network programming, HTTP, AWS S3, and file systems.
- Knowledge of Cassandra/CQL, NoSQL, or SQL databases.
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems and HPC.
- Experience with Linux and containers.
- Understanding of AI-native software development, Agile, TDD, and continuous integration.
- 8–12 years of experience in software testing or quality engineering.
- BE or MS in Computer Science or a related field.
- Go, Ruby, Python, or Java experience is preferred.
